Real Relationships

At Sharon United Methodist Church we value Real Relationships.  It takes trust and time to get to know each other in a meaningful relationship.  One way to get to know each other better is by spending time together as a community.

Stephen Ministry

The Stephen Ministry program equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.  We all experience challenges in life – times when we could benefit from the support of a caring Christian friend.  Stephen Ministers are ready to provide the emotional and spiritual care we need when faced with a crisis or difficulty such as – loss of a loved one; hospitalization; divorce or separation; loneliness or discouragement; spiritual crisis; a terminal illness; aging; birth, adoption, miscarriage or infertility; a chronic illness, relocation or recovery after an accident or disaster.  If you or someone you know could benefit from the one-to-one confidential Christian care of a Stephen Minister please contact Pastor Nancy Miller Campbell (704.366.9166 x21 or nmcampbell@sharonumc.org).

This Week's Scripture:

Haggai 1:2-5
2 Thus says the Lord of hosts: These people say the time has not yet come to rebuild the Lord's house. 3 Then the word of the Lord came by the prophet Haggai, saying: 4 Is it a time for you yourselves to live in your paneled houses, while this house lies in ruins? 5 Now therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider how you have fared.
